Friday Thrifting

Made a quick dash into the local thrift shops today at lunch and found five vintage patterns.



All are a size too small, but it will give me a chance to work on my pattern alteration skills. They also had a nice selection of metal cake pans and I walked away with a nice pair, as shiny as if they were new. Also picked up a few flower pots for the African violets that I'm rooting. All in all, a good haul! I wish I'd had more time, I would have gone into the antique shops, too - never know where that bargain will be found!



I can't believe I got this picture of The Queen of the Known Universe with "normal" eyes. Usually they are glowing red demon eyes. She even posed nicely for me.

Of course, this may be the reason:



Sasha and Killer were playing just a few feet away, and so The Queen is being nice, as opposed to her usual bitchy self. I think she sees that she can be replaced by a *nice* cat. Whatever works to sweeten her disposition!
